stop filtering down to standard ip addresses
my local lan is setup with ip addresses of 128.122.0.1 to 128.122.255.254.
It's a local area network, complete with router and firewall out to the internet to block incoming and outgoing traffic from this app and others. However, when I try and connect to it, it comes up saying I can only connect to computer on the local area network.
It can see my air keyboard server on my network but refuses to connect to it. I've even turned off the firewall on the computer to see if that was blocking it, but no, it seems to think it's outside the local network.
Finally I've determined that air keyboard doesn't know it's a local area network, it guesses by what the ip is. So if my network ip was 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 then it would work, even though they are both the same network.
I think it should allow people in my situation to connect. Even if it means putting an option in the settings area which I can set but is only meant for my certain scenario rather than everyone, and explains that such a purpose. This would make sure people who don't understand and are on simple networks are left more secure and people like me are able to still use the app, knowing I am secure.
Sadly I bought this app before I realised this design floor, so it's now a complete waste of money because of a annoying problem. it wouldn't be so bad if you were to fix it, seeing as I did pay for it.
Thanks if you do.
